R Believe Class Information

Welcome message from Miss Maio, Reception Teacher:

Welcome to R Believe! It has been lovely getting to know all of the children during their first couple of weeks at school. They have all settled in so well and I am looking forward to being their class teacher throughout their first year at school. If you have anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to speak to me by phoning the school office.

Spring 1

As we have now switched to remote learning, we will deliver live lessons through Zoom at 9.30am and 12.30pm. A follow activity must then be completed and uploaded to Tapestry by 9am the next day. We will also upload a phonics video for children to watch and activity to complete that day, this must also be uploaded to Tapestry by 9am the following day.

If you need support for your child's home learning please get in touch with us through school or via Tapestry. If you need the Zoom meeting please look at Tapestry or contact us for us to give you the details.

Phonics and Reading

Please continue to read daily with your child.  We will change books in school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that you record any reading your child does in their reading record.  You can also use Tapestry to send me messages about how well your child is doing with their reading.

Reading Eggs is a great app to use at home to encourage reading. Your child's login details are in their reading record.

Your child should be writing daily.   They should be writing the sounds they can hear in each word and be learning how to put finger spaces between each word.  You can take photos of their writing and upload them to Tapestry.

I have put some fun maths games on here that will teach them some of the concepts that we have been learning in school.
